Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us for using ApplyLift.

Last updated: June 13, 2026

These Terms of Service (the Terms) form a binding agreement between you and ApplyLift regarding your use of ApplyLift (the Service). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

The Service

ApplyLift is a tool for creating, editing, and exporting CVs and resumes, with additional career features planned over time. The Service is provided on an evolving basis, and features may be added, changed, or removed. Some features may be offered in beta and may not work as expected.

Your account

If accounts become available, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your content

You retain all ownership of the content you create with the Service, including your CV (your Content). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to render a live preview, export a PDF, or, if you opt in, sync it to your account or process it with an AI feature you request. This license ends when you delete your Content or stop using the Service, except for limited backups or where retention is required by law.

You are solely responsible for your Content and represent that it is accurate and that you have the right to use it.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

AI features

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. It is provided to assist you, not to replace your judgment. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI output before relying on it or submitting it to an employer, and for ensuring that the final result is truthful. AI features do not constitute career, legal, or other professional advice.

Plans, billing, and renewals

The core builder is free. Paid plans, if purchased, are billed through our third-party payment provider, which may act as the merchant of record and handle billing, taxes, and receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You may cancel at any time, and access continues until the end of the current period. Prices may change for future periods with notice. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Third-party services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, such as payment processing, email delivery, and external job listings. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, templates, logos, and branding — is owned by ApplyLift or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your Content and the CVs you export, these Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will help you obtain employment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplyLift will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ApplyLift from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, or as needed to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ApplyLift is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
