Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that keep ApplyLift safe and fair for everyone.

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using ApplyLift (the Service). It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree not to engage in any of the conduct described below.

Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to create, store, or share content that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
  • is deliberately false or misleading, such as fabricated qualifications or work history presented as fact;
  • is hateful, harassing, or promotes violence or discrimination;
  • contains malware or code intended to harm or gain unauthorized access to any system.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your CV. Misrepresenting your background may have consequences with employers that are outside our control.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it or launching denial-of-service attacks;
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law permits;
  • circumvent usage limits, security measures, or access controls;
  • resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
  • use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.

Fair use of AI features

When AI features are available, you must not use them to generate prohibited content, to produce deceptive material at scale, or in any way that violates the rights of others or the terms of our AI providers. Automated or excessive requests that place an unreasonable load on the Service are not permitted.

Consequences of misuse

If you violate this Policy, we may warn you, remove content, limit functionality, or suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, depending on the severity. We may also report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

If you become aware of any misuse of the Service, please report it to support@applylift.com.
