Is ApplyLift really free?
The builder is. On the free plan you get every template, all customization, and unlimited PDF downloads with no watermark — plus a set of free career tools that need no account. New accounts also include 3 one-time AI credits to try the paid features. Ongoing AI — cover letters, ATS analysis, CV tailoring — is part of the Pro and Max plans.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes — a free account. Your resumes and cover letters are saved to your account and synced to the cloud, so your work is safe and available on every device you sign in from.
Are the resumes ATS-friendly?
Yes. Our templates use clean, parseable structure and standard section headings so applicant tracking systems can correctly read your experience, skills, and education.
Where is my CV data stored?
Your resumes and cover letters are stored securely in your account in the cloud, protected so only you can access them. You can edit or delete them at any time, and we never sell your data.
Can I download my CV as a PDF?
Yes. ApplyLift exports a pixel-perfect, print-ready PDF with embedded fonts that matches the live preview exactly. Both A4 and US Letter page sizes are supported.
Can I use ApplyLift on my phone?
Yes — the site is fully responsive. For the most comfortable editing experience we recommend a tablet or desktop, but you can review and download from any device.
What can the AI do?
Pro and Max plans include an AI cover letter generator (matched to your resume and the job description, with requirement-by-requirement match insights), an ATS score & keyword-gap checker, and Tailor CV — which rewrites your resume for a specific job and lets you approve every change before it's saved. Every new account gets 3 free credits to try these before subscribing.
Can I build more than one CV?
Yes. You can create and store unlimited resume versions and tailor each one to a different role.
Do you sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how data is handled.
